I visited cantinho mineiro on a Saturday and was overall satisfied with the food and service. Staff is friendly and the buffet was delicious. You pay by the pound so first you choose what you want, then you stop by the grill where you can get some Brazilian churrasco (beef, picanha, sausage, chicken, etc) and finally you weigh your plate. My wife and I paid a total of $30 which was pretty reasonable. Note that we didn't have any drinks or deserts so if you add them you can expect to pay over $20 per person which may not be a great deal if you do on a regular basis.

My first time trying Brazilian cuisine and it's a cacophony of delicious flavors and different pieces on one plate. My friend & I were lucky enough to find this spot, a semi-affordable buffet style Brazilian diner in the Ironbound. To this day, I don't know the names of the dishes I carefully spooned on my plate. Everything looked so appetizing but it was 14$ per pound and one hour to eat lunch !! I had a little bit of everything: the yuca , chicken, greens, plantains, beef, black beans, and more meat? I think it would've been helpful to label each dish even in Spanish ! I would've loved to know what I was eating The meat was on the spin and manned by a chef who helps you slice a piece of the meat on your plate. The service was great & gratuity was included in your check. But wow! The total cost was comparable to Manhattan prices: my plate was 23$ included tip&tax. Good for them for doing business. Know your worth, girl!! Would I eat here again? No, because my wallet is skinny --- buuuut it was a great experience to try a little bit of everything of Brazilian cuisine.
